I have always loved flowers, and when I studied at Art School I specialised in printed textile design, with flowers and nature having a huge influence on my designs. Later on in my career I trained as a florist in 2003 - I knew quite quickly that I had found my calling!
Once I had qualified at C&G Level 2 - my experience within retail floristry over the next 6 years was invaluable - learning the trade from all aspects. I set up my business in 2009 specialising in wedding floristry.
Later on, I returned to study Level 3 and Level 4 floristry, and in recent months have continued to develop my knowledge further. In 2023 I completed the Level 5 Master Diploma (MDPF) with a Distinction. I am a lecturer at a local adult education college, Cambridge Art Makers and teach small groups in my garden studio.
In June 2026 I completed my training as a NAFAS Area Demonstrator - and am a member of the Bedford Floral Art Society.
On a regular basis I update my training with floristry courses run by industry experts - both in the UK and Europe. Where possible I use materials which will naturally degrade. When in season and freshly available - we try our best - to use British locally grown flowers.
